DIY Pet Gate

Do you have a pet that can only be in certain places while you're away?  Here is the perfect solution without the tacky pet gate look.

We got a garden gate from Home Depot for around $24.
The gate locks so your pet is unable to push it open.

Two poles $4 each. Brackets to attack gate to the wall $1 each. (we used 4 brackets)

When you attach it to the wall, make sure you leave enough space for the gate to open and close without scratching the floors. We put it two inches above the floor because our doggy wont try to sneak under it.

Grand Total of $34. Regular pet gates run anywhere from $40 to $150 and don't look as FABULOUS!!!

  3. Please please don't anyone do this unless you want your dog to be impaled by the spikes if it tries to jump over!! Awful, dangerous idea. There are so many other solutions...
